Q: Do I need to fill out a separate entry form for every entry submitted?
A: Yes. Even if you are submitting photographs that are part of the same body od work, each entry (8-12 images) needs to be accompanied by its own entry form.
Q: Where can I obtain an entry form?
A: You may obtain an entry form by any of the following ways:
a) Download a printable .pdf of the entry form.
b) Contact our office to request an entry form by mail.
Q: What size should the digital files be?
A: Digital submissions must be saved as jpg or tiff with a resolution of 72dpi and not to exceed 1024px in height or width.
Q: Is there a time limit within which the photographs should have been taken?
A: No. You may submit any photograph regardless of the date it was taken.
Q: How are slides viewed by DaedalusPhoto News editors?
A: Slides that are submitted for consideration are viewed on a light table with a loupe.
Q: If you receive my submission after the 15th of the month of the deadline, will the entry be rejected?
A: No, the portfolio will be included in the selection for the following issue and will be judged accordingly.
Q: How will my photographs be used?
A: DaedalusPhoto News will award one photographer every month with up to 12-image online portfolio. Since the photographer, as an author, keeps all the copyrights, the selected photographs will not be used in any other way unless permitted by the photographer.
Q: Does DaedalusPhoto News charge commmission for the prints sold on its website?
A: Yes, there is a 15% commission charged on every print sold by DaedalusPhoto News.
