Kids today only know violence as something that is entertaining. It is only appreciated for its entertainment value. They interact with it daily. Whether through video games or movies. Kids are able to interact with violence because of where technology is today. We see gruesome events through a screen, displaced from reality.

Contemporary technology has enabled us to see violence in this way. It has also changed the way we use photography. It is used for making a record of our lives to display on the Internet, for anyone to see. We upload images and video from digital cameras to websites like Facebook and Youtube so that we may display what we personally find interesting or what we think represents who we are.

The project combines the desire to record interesting things for other to see and the desire for violent entertainment through a child's eyes. In the images the kids are enjoying the atrocities they commit. In many of the photographs they look at us, as if someone were photographing the event or egging them on.
